Genesis 7:11

בִּ שְׁנַת שֵׁשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה לְ חַיֵּי נֹחַ בַּ חֹדֶשׁ הַ שֵּׁנִי בְּ שִׁבְעָה עָשָׂר יֹום לַ חֹדֶשׁ בַּ יֹּום הַ זֶּה נִבְקְעוּ כָּל מַעְיְנֹת תְּהֹום רַבָּה וַ אֲרֻבֹּת הַ שָּׁמַיִם נִפְתָּחוּ

In a duplication six hundred of a duplication273 to living ones274 of Rest, in the Double New-one,275 in the seven ten hot-one to the New-one, in the Hot-one of This one276 the whole of the eye-springs277 of the abundant uproar278 have been split,279 and the ambushes280 of the Dual-Heavens have been opened,

Strong’s #4599, mayan. Eye-place, eye-source, eye-spring. The root word is eye, ayin #5869 in the typical locative/place-name construct. Here and in Gen. 8:2 it is in the feminine plural מַעְיְנֹ֣ת. The masculine plural is מַעְיָנִים (Ps. 104:10).
