And the Adam is calling the name (שֵׁ֥ם, shem) of his woman Eve[Chavah] for himself HAS BECOME Mother of the whole Living.
Gen. 3:20 Literal
“Eve” doesn’t mean “life” as the lexicons put it.
Her name in Hebrew, חַוָּה, Chavah is from the verb חָוָה, chavah. The verb means “to tell“. This verb is found in a strikingly relevant verse:
Day to day pours forth/flows (navah) speech, And night to night tells (chavah) knowledge. Psalm 19:2 literal
You would think that the word “pours forth/flows” would be used in all sorts of contexts in Scripture, yet it is only used in the context of speech from the mouth in the Hebrew scriptures, about 11 times. The authors are clearly trying to get us to think about the allegorical relationship between speech and water (James 3:10-11). Is there something about Night that relates to Eve, the Mother of all Living? The Counting ones of Heaven?
Maybe we missed this one: Chavah, the Mother of all Living, is the Name of Jesus, where “the name” is actually referring to “her” who takes on his (i.e. the bride). So much allegory everywhere it seems?
And this is His commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and we should love one another, just as He gave the commandment to us. 1 John 3:23 BLB
If the disciples were called by his own name, Life, hence, Mother of all Living. Perhaps…
And now, thus has said Yahweh, he-who-cut-you-out, O Jacob [Heel], and he-who-formed-you, O Israel [El-Strives], you are not fearing, for I have redeemed you, I have called in your name — to-myself is yourself! Isa. 43:1 literal
And my people have humbled themselves, who have been called my name over them, and are interposing, and are seeking my faces, and are turning back from their roads of the Ruinous Ones [Evil-Ones], and myself is hearing from the Heavens, and is forgiving to their sin, and is healing their earth … 2 Chron. 7:14 literal (no added words!)
Again,
And this is His commandment, that we should believe in the name of His Son…. 1 John 3:23 BLB
