Genesis 8:8
וַ יְשַׁלַּח אֶת הַ יֹּונָה מֵ אִתֹּו לִ רְאֹות הֲ קַלּוּ הַ מַּיִם מֵ עַל פְּנֵי הָ אֲדָמָה
And he is sending אֶת-the dove from את-himself310 to see, have they become lightened311 the Dual-Waters from off the faces of the Red-one?
| 310 | From-אֶת-him. Hebrew מֵאִתּ֑וֹ me-ittow, preposition + near + suffix from-near-him or from himself. This has always stumped commentators. It tells of the Spirit. Consider it as a mark of accusative instead of the preposition. |
