Genesis 6:5
וַ יַּרְא יְהוָה כִּי רַבָּה רָעַת הָ אָדָם בָּ אָרֶץ וְ כָל יֵצֶר מַחְשְׁבֹת לִבֹּו רַק רַע כָּל הַ יֹּום
And Yahweh is seeing that abundant is the ruined-one231 of the Red-one in the Earth, and the whole form232 of the plans233 of his heart is only a ruinous one of the whole of the Hot-one.
| 231 | Hebrew וַיַּ֣רְא יְהוָ֔ה כִּ֥י רַבָּ֛ה רָעַ֥ת. And Yahweh is seeing that abundant [is] ruined-one. The clause is no different than what is found in Genesis 1:10 etc., וַיַּ֥רְא אֱלֹהִ֖ים כִּי־טֹֽוב, And elohim is seeing that good. This is a justified reading as we’ll see in the following notes. |
