Genesis 37:10
וַ יְסַפֵּר אֶל אָבִיו וְ אֶל אֶחָיו וַ יִּגְעַר בֹּו אָבִיו וַ יֹּאמֶר לֹו מָה הַ חֲלֹום הַ זֶּה אֲשֶׁר חָלָמְתָּ הֲ בֹוא נָבֹוא אֲנִי וְ אִמְּךָ וְ אַחֶיךָ לְ הִשְׁתַּחֲוֹת לְךָ אָרְצָה
And he is recording toward his father, and toward his brothers; and his father is rebuking in him, and is saying to-himself, `What is the Bonded-one of This one which you have bonded? To come in, myself is coming in, and your mother, and your brothers to bow-down to-yourself earth-ward?`1168
| 1168 | Heaven Bowing to Earth? In Gen. 1:17 two luminaries—if these refer to the sun and moon—along with stars are placed in the Dual-Heavens. Joseph’s father Jacob is seems to be interpreting the dream here: sun, moon, stars for himself, his mother, and his brothers. Regardless, Jacob [Heel] is apparently inquiring as to whether the Sun, Moon, Stars which are collectively Heaven will be bowing down “Earth-ward”. |
