12 | Sent Away from the Self Strongs NT #649 apostéllō to send away There are around 133 occurances of this word in the NT, and forms the basis of the word "apostle". 649 (from 575 /apó, "away from" and 4724 /stéllō, "send") – properly, send away, i.e. commission; (passive) "sent on a defined mission by a superior." To be "sent away" is to be sent away from the center, self, God. Not merely sent by God. Strong’s NT #3844, para. next to, close beside, by the side of, by, beside. 3844 pará (a preposition) – properly, close beside. 3844 /pará ("from closely alongside") introduces someone (something) as very "close beside."
