RBT Translation:
The Mercy Seat
Woe to yourselves Scholars and Separatists! Interpreters that are taking a tenth part of the Mint and the Dill and the Cumin, and you have hurled away the Weightier Ones of the Law, the Separation and the Mercy and the Trust and it was necessary to make these ones, not hurl away those ones!
Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye exact tenths and dill and cummin, and ye have left the weightier things of the law, judgment, and mercy, and faith: these it was necessary to do, and not to let go those.
LITV Translation:
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithes of mint and dill and cummin, and you have left aside the weightier matters of the Law: judgment, and mercy, and faith. It was right to do these, and not to have left those aside.
ESV Translation:
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.
