Multitudes therefore, those who have heard from out of the Learners of himself said, "The Logos/Word of This one, he is hard/harsh. Who is able to hear himself?
Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
Then many of his disciples, having heard, said, This is a hard word; who can hear it.
LITV Translation:
Then many of His disciples having heard, they said, This word is hard; who is able to hear it?
ESV Translation:
When many of his disciples heard it, they said, “This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?”
