John 5:39

Ἐρευνᾶτε τὰς γραφάς, ὅτι ὑμεῖς δοκεῖτε ἐν αὐταῖς ζωὴν αἰώνιον ἔχειν, καὶ ἐκεῖναί εἰσιν αἱ μαρτυροῦσαι περὶ ἐμοῦ·

You are thoroughly examining the Writings because yourselves are supposing to hold within themselves zoe-life eternal, and those ones are the ones who bear witness from around myself.

You search the Scriptures, for you think in them you have everlasting life. And they are the ones witnessing concerning Me.

You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me,
