John 3:20

Πᾶς γὰρ ὁ φαῦλα πράσσων μισεῖ τὸ φῶς, καὶ οὐκ ἔρχεται πρὸς τὸ φῶς, ἵνα μὴ ἐλεγχθῇ τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ.

For everyone practicing cheap/easy things is hating the Daylight, and does not come toward the Daylight, in order that the Works of himself may not be put to shame.

For every one doing bad things hates the light, and he comes not to the light, lest his works should be rebuked.
