John 2:10

καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ, Πᾶς ἄνθρωπος πρῶτον τὸν καλὸν οἶνον τίθησι, καὶ ὅταν μεθυσθῶσι, τότε τὸν ἐλάσσω· σὺ τετήρηκας τὸν καλὸν οἶνον ἕως ἄρτι.

The Beautiful Wine Guarded Until Now

And he saying to himself, "Every man is first setting the Beautiful Wine, and when they should become drunk, the Smaller. Yourself has guarded the Beautiful Wine until this moment."

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
And says to him, Every man sets good wine first; and when they be intoxicated, then inferior: thou hast kept the good wine till now.

LITV Translation:
and he said to him, Every man first sets on the good wine, and when they have drunk freely, then the worse. You have kept the good wine until now.

ESV Translation:
and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.”
