Ἔστι δὲ συνήθεια ὑμῖν, ἵνα ἕνα ὑμῖν ἀπολύσω ἐν τῷ Πάσχα· βούλεσθε οὖν ὑμῖν ἀπολύσω τὸν βασιλέα τῶν Ἰουδαίων;

Free the King

And it is a custom/habit for yourselves so that I might set free one to yourselves within the Leap Over. Are you willing therefore I might set free to yourselves the King of the Casters?"

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
But a custom is to you, that I loose one to you in the pascha: will ye therefore I should loose to you the King of the Jews. 40Then cried they all again, saying, Not this, but Barabbas: and Barabbas was a robber.

LITV Translation:
But there is a common custom to you that I should release one prisoner to you at the Passover. Then you decide: should I release the king of the Jews to you?

ESV Translation:
But you have a custom that I should release one man for you at the Passover. So do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”
