Genesis 6:7

And Yahweh is saying, `I am blotting-out אֶת-the Red-one whom I have cut out from upon the faces of the Red-one,<sup>237</sup> from the Red-one until a behemah, until a crawling-one, and until the flying one of the Dual-Heavens, for I have been consoled that I have made them.`²³⁸

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
And Jehovah will say, I will wipe out man whom I formed from above the face of the earth; from man even to cattle, even to the creeping thing and even to the birds of the heavens; and I was grieved that I made them.

LITV Translation:
And Jehovah said, I will wipe off man whom I have created from the face of the earth, from man to beast, to the creeping thing and to the birds of the heavens; for I repent that I made them.

ESV Translation:

Brenton Septuagint Translation:
And God said, I will blot out man whom I have made from the face of the earth, even man with cattle, and reptiles with flying creatures of the sky, for I am grieved that I have made them.

I wipe out. This is the same verb, machah that forms the name Mehujael, the great-grandson of Cain. See Genesis 4:18. The perfect have cut out signifies the end of the story of God’s creative work of Adam, when he wipes him out.

Take note that God says he repented that he made them and not that he cut out them. There is a difference.
