And Yahweh is saying toward Spearhead, `Where is Vapor your brother?` And he is saying, `I have not known, the Guardian170 of my brother, myself.`
RBT Paraphrase:
And He Is is saying toward Spearhead, "Where is Vanity your brother?" And he is saying, "I did not see that the Guardian of the brother of myself, is Myself [אנכי]."
And He Is is saying toward Spearhead, "Where is Vanity your brother?" And he is saying, "I did not see that the Guardian of the brother of myself, is Myself [אנכי]."
Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
And Jehovah will say to Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? and he will say, I know not: am I my brother's watcher?
And Jehovah will say to Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? and he will say, I know not: am I my brother's watcher?
LITV Translation:
And Jehovah said to Cain, Where is your brother Abel? And he said, I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?
