RBT Hebrew Literal:
They are compared to little children, the ones who are being seated within a marketplace, and those who are calling to one another whatever things he is speaking, "We piped to yourselves and you did not dance! We sang a dirge and you did not weep!"
Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
They are like children sitting in the market-place, and calling to one another, and saying, We played the flute to you, and ye danced not; we lamented to you, and ye wept not.
They are like children sitting in the market-place, and calling to one another, and saying, We played the flute to you, and ye danced not; we lamented to you, and ye wept not.
LITV Translation:
They are like children sitting in a market and calling to one another, and saying, We piped to you, and you did not dance; we mourned to you, and you did not weep.
