Luke 9:62

Footnote:

33

In addition to its literal sense, ἄροτρον is employed figuratively in the plural to denote the male virile organ (as in Nonnus, D.12.46). Furthermore, in a boxing context—as seen in Pausanias 6.10.2 and Philostratus’ Gymnasticus—the term is used metaphorically to refer to a forceful blow, likely drawing on the image of a plow’s striking motion.
