Λέγει οὖν αὐτῷ ἡ γυνὴ ἡ Σαμαρεῖτις, Πῶς σὺ Ἰουδαῖος ὢν παρ᾽ ἐμοῦ πιεῖν αἰτεῖς, οὔσης γυναικὸς Σαμαρείτιδος;—Οὐ γὰρ συγχρῶνται Ἰουδαῖοι Σαμαρείταις.

RBT Translation:
The Woman, The Guardianess, is saying therefore to himself, "How, you a Caster, he who is from close beside myself, ask to drink from a woman, she who is a Guardianess? For Casters do not use jointly with Guardians."
LITV Translation:
Then the Samaritan woman said to Him, How do you, being a Jew, ask to drink from me, I being a Samaritan woman? For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.
ESV Translation:
The Samaritan woman said to him, “How is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
