Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
Every man was brutish from knowledge; every founder was ashamed from his carved image: for his founding is a falsehood, and no spirit in them.
LITV Translation:
Every man is brutish in knowledge, every refiner is put to shame by idols. For his casted image is a lie, and no breath is in them.
ESV Translation:
Every man is stupid and without knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols, for his images are false, and there is no breath in them.
Brenton Septuagint Translation:
For we will surely perform every word that shall proceed out of our mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour drink offerings to her, as we and our fathers have done, and our kings and princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: and so we were filled with bread, and were well, and saw no evils.
