James 1:21

Διὸ ἀποθέμενοι πᾶσαν ῥυπαρίαν καὶ περισσείαν κακίας, ἐν πρᾳΰτητι δέξασθε τὸν ἔμφυτον λόγον, τὸν δυνάμενον σῶσαι τὰς ψυχὰς ὑμῶν.

For this reason, those who have put off every filthiness and overflowing of a malicious evil, embrace the implanted word within a gentle one, the one who has the power to save the Soul Life of yourselves!

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
Wherefore having put away all sordid avarice, and excess of wickedness, in meekness receive the implanted word, able to save your souls.

On account of this, having put aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, in meekness receive the implanted Word being able to save your souls.

ESV Translation:
Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
