ἐπὶ πᾶσιν ἀναλαβόντες τὸν θυρεὸν τῆς πίστεως, ἐν ᾧ δυνήσεσθε πάντα τὰ βέλη τοῦ πονηροῦ τὰ πεπυρωμένα σβέσαι.

Within all things, those who have taken up the Door-Shield of the Trust within whom you will have power to quench all the Arrows of the Pain-Ridden One, the ones which have been inflamed.

θύρεον is a neuter noun derived from θύρα (door), meaning literally “door-like.” This reflects its size and shape: large, rectangular, and curved—like a door, covering the body from shoulder to knee or lower.

Over all, having taken the shield of faith, in which ye shall be able to quench all the inflamed darts of evil.

LITV Translation:
Above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the darts of the evil one, having been made fiery.

ESV Translation:
In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;
